Mesopen therapy offers a next generation approach to microneedling, widely known for collagen regeneration and treating a wide range of skin conditions. This advanced facial therapy is popular among Australia’s A-listers as they search for a non-surgical pathway to younger, healthier-looking, rejuvenated skin.
As an advanced facial aesthetician, with more than 30-years’ experience and a renowned gentle touch, Elaine brings Mesopen microneedling to clients of all ages looking to reach their skin goals. We take a closer look at microneedling and explain the ins-and-outs of this advanced treatment – with or without the needles.
What is Mesopen microneedling?
Microneedling, also known as skin needling, is a fast-growing advanced facial therapy. Used to treat a range of skin conditions and also for the cosmetic benefits through collagen stimulation and regrowth.
As a therapy, Mesopen microneedling is combined with Fusion; a vital blend of hand-selected vitamins and minerals. This combination proves essential to delivering nourishment and hydration to the deeper skin layers where topical creams and serums simply cannot reach.
Mesopen refers to the technology used for this type of delivery, the Meso part referring to the targeted cells within the meso skin layer. To reach this layer, the tip of the Mesopen Pro, which contains tiny, medical-grade sterile needles, creates a series of microscopic channels through which the Fusion vitamins are delivered.
What is electroporation?
Electroporation offers the next level of modern skin needling, facilitating delivery of the active ingredients using ultrasonic waves. This increases the permeability of the surface and the upper layers of the skin and allows a more efficient, comfortable delivery of the essential vitamins directly to the cells that need them.
The difference between mesotherapy with needles and without
Mesotherapy using the no-needle delivery system with the Mesopen Pro technology uses similar principles and achieves the same effect. The products are, however, applied topically during the first part of the appointment where the skin is carefully prepared. Many clients find this preparation of the skin extremely relaxing under Elaine’s expert hands.
The topical products are then delivered into the deeper skin layers and cells using electroporation only. This essentially means that the only difference in the two delivery methods is the absence of needles and the channels they make in the upper dermal layer.
The benefits of microneedling
Mesotherapy treatment is suitable for almost all skin types and for a wide range of benefits for ladies of all ages from anti-aging and collagen regeneration to reducing scarring and treating acne.
Microneedling can help to rehydrate, stimulate collagen and encourage regrowth, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and a range of other effects, typical of aging, tired, dehydrated or damaged skin:
- Deeper wrinkles
- Large and open pores
- Sagging
- Tech neck or neck rings
- Pigmentation
- Aging spots
- And much more.
Microneedling is suitable for a wide range of skin types and is effective for various skin conditions and collagen stimulation.
Severe acne and some other sensitive skin conditions may require a different approach or a longer preparation programme to ready the skin. This may mean using electroporation for delivery, combining microneedling with other treatments or even opting for a different therapy altogether to prepare your skin for the start of your journey.
This is why close, expert consultation and individual assessment is perhaps one of the most important parts of any decision-making about advanced facial therapies. Find out more about Mesopen and Fusion treatment at Clinique Matrice here.
